They told me I did not pass the verbal interview portion, despite me answering every question perfectly. The only thing that I might have done that they did not like is I asked what sort of changes have been made since 3407. The look on both peoples faces was telling, that was the only time the wrote anything down, otherwise questions were super super basic.
That didn't get you eliminated. I asked the same question, along with several followup questions about 3407 and was still offered a class date. They (the EWR CP, line captain, and HR) were quite open and willing to talk about the accident with me.
