A lot of variables involved with this one. If you are purely a US citizen with no European ties, you will most likely be wasting your time interviewing with Cathay. Good thing about Cathay would be maybe stability. Bad things would be how they run the flight deck. How would you like a 10hr review of the FOM on your line check to Hong Kong?

Delta advantage would be mulitple US bases with multiple aircraft to choose from. Stability at the bottom is kind of a toss up. Delta brings international flying to the table just like Cathay.

I'm sure others have more insight but that was just my opinion.
