Maybe it's just wishful thinking but I would think that if I was an employer, I'd want the guy who had been making decisions flying 135 PIC over the guy with equal jet time in the right seat.
While that's a good and valid thought, it would be somewhat difficult for you to be insurable as PIC of a corporate/charter jet or "large" (ie bigger than KA90) turboprop if the biggest thing you've been flying to that point is a piston twin.
Not impossible, mind you...but more difficult than somebody who has been flying (for example) a Dash or CRJ for a couple thousand hours.
You won't know if you made the "right" decision until long after you've acted...good luck!
