I won't take the time to individually respond to all posts addressing mine as there are too many. I'll just make some general comments that hopefully answers your questions or points.
-I am well aware of the beginnings of GoJet and I do agree that THE ORIGINAL cadre of GJ pilots that signed on to bypass TSA's seniority have questionable ethics. Guess what? TSA doesn't exactly have a halo over their heads, ala, American Eagle/Connection when Eagle pilots were furloughed, or why did TSA's contract have such weak scope to allow the creation of an alter ego in the first place? There are always at least two sides to every story. The regional airline industry is cutthroat to begin with. One cannot stand at theirs and criticize another without being a hypocrite.
-There is ZERO difference between the ethics of those that hired/are hiring on at GJ and those at other regionals. So what if there are small differences between 50 vs 70 seat pay, rigs etc.? They're all pretty much crap. It's like saying "my fast food restaurant is better than your fast food restaurant!" In the overall realm of the restaurant industry, both suck.
-Even though I think my application of the word "troll" is still somewhat justified, perhaps I used the word too loosely. I should have used, "misguided thread-jackers". Is that better? I know some of you think you're going to save the world with your personal crusade to inform. However, your message board anonymity driven crusade is full of exaggerations, hype and wishful thinking. GJ pilots (in the REAL world, not message boards) don't get singled out. They have no issues jump seating, ride hotel vans with other pilots with mutual respect and won't be in any worse position than any other regional pilots to hire on at their next carrier. Again, I am talking about the REAL world.
-Yes, I have no dog in this fight. It is just that I have participated in APC for a while and I will call BS when I see it. Also, I know some pilots at GJ (couple of ATA refugees and a UAL guy) and I trust their REAL WORLD accounts vs the hyperbole and drama on message boards.
-Moderators. Yes, letting threads get hijacked is just sloppy moderating. I call 'em as I see 'em. It's just my opinion, so no need to get your panties in a bunch and feel insulted.
