BB did not buy Compass -- A company with the same planes, a very junior pilot group, and guaranteed income. From what I heard the RAH management correctly believed they had too much on their plate with integration issues, reorganization, etc.

If they buy AE, it would have to be at such a give-a-way price that MANY others would be in line who are far hungrier for the pain AE would bring with their old 37 and 50 seaters and a VERY senior pilot group by Regional standards.
