I'd say 50/50 got the nod last time. As a fruitcake myself during the last hiring cycle, 4 out of 9 got through the 1st day, and I went in to see the shrink right after an AF A-10 driver, nicest guy in the whole world, but we both got the infamous "thanks but you're crazy" letter. I was subsequently brought back by the review board, he was left out, I truly felt bad for him.
The review board last round was comprised of 3 members: a exec from HR, a different shrink than the one interviewed you, and a pilot. From my sources, when the board convenes, first they try to weed out about half of the nuttiest candidates, and then try to decide if they can bring back the rest from the "fruit basket", so to speak.
About a year after i was on property, someone explained to me that DL provides a "box" of personality that the shrink is trying to see if each candidate can fit into the DL culture. Things such as teamwork, ability to follow orders, loyalty are being evaluated, cross-referenced by the MMPI questionaire that we filled out the 1st day. The shrink would use the MMPI results to create a baseline, and evaluate each candidate to see if it fits what DL wants.
