Velocipede, I've been following this thread since it's inception and just reread it to see if anything new had been added. Frankly I'm very surprised at your comments and a little disheartened at your total apparent lack of caring for your fellow man. I'm not an advocate of providing jumpseats to anyone showing up ((scabs, drunk, smelly (used to happen at FedEx), or bad attitudes), but to not allow a fellow professional pilot a ride, based on the fact that he is working for a company that you feel undercuts the industry, is in my eyes, rather shortsighted. I'm sure, most, if not all of these guys would prefer to be working for a major airline, but as yet it hasn't happened for them. Why not welcome them aboard, and try to give them an appreciation for continuing their fight to get hired by a major carrier.

As was said earlier in this post, most of us working for FedEx, over the years, have been treated very nicely by our people-carrying brethren. We all appreciate it and take great pleasure in having one of you guys on our jumpseat. It's always nice to be able to provide a lift for someone going home, or to work, or on vacation.
