I was subsequently brought back by the review board, he was left out, I truly felt bad for him.
The review board last round was comprised of 3 members: a exec from HR, a different shrink than the one interviewed you, and a pilot. From my sources, when the board convenes, first they try to weed out about half of the nuttiest candidates, and then try to decide if they can bring back the rest from the "fruit basket", so to speak.
About a year after i was on property, someone explained to me that DL provides a "box" of personality that the shrink is trying to see if each candidate can fit into the DL culture. Things such as teamwork, ability to follow orders, loyalty are being evaluated, cross-referenced by the MMPI questionaire that we filled out the 1st day. The shrink would use the MMPI results to create a baseline, and evaluate each candidate to see if it fits what DL wants.

I think they can get alot of valuable information on what type of person you are that they cannot get from a panel interview done by pilots and HR people. Anyone can say what a panel wants to hear, but it's kinda tough to BS your way through a conversation with a psych who will figure out very fast if your really the person you are telling them you are. If you are not an A-hole and go into the psych being completely honest with them about whatever comes up, and they will take you places you never thought you would go, you should have no problems with the psych.
Thanks for the info guys. My Buddy already had the mindset that he will just go in & be himself. He isn't nervous. He knows he will either fit, or he won't. I just know who he truly is. He'd fit the DAL family well. I'm sure he'll do great maņana.
