The blank stare with no blinks works in the oral but not so good in the sim.
This was my first recurrent, but my type rides were really laid back and relaxed and even though we did this limitations "in-depth
review?" the actual sim ride was rather relaxed, there wasn't too much into systems and we reviewed the walk around cds (which are online). Basically the limitations and walk around pics opened as much discussion as was necessary to prove a working knowledge of the systems.
The word of the day in my 88 recurrent, fwiw, was windshear. They taught and then we practiced the windshear takeoff maneuver.
