How is that a company that can track our fuel usage down to the pound, still have a system that requires us to submit a paylog. I would be interested in the percentage of pilots that forget/don't know to do it. This is something that needs to be fixed in the next contract. I would think the company could automate this VERY easily(if they wanted to). But then again, this is money saved by the company.
You bring up a very good point, one that I hope gets addressed in the next contract. There cannot be any justification, in this high-tech environment, that would require a crewmember to have to tell the company that it owes said crewmember additional monies, for work the crewmember did on behalf of the company, at the request of the company, with company knowledge of the event.
