I'd have to disagree with your statement. I think TDawg's question is a valid one. Why did ALPA not join in such an alliance? For something that will work for pilots, other employees and the traveling public, this seems to be a no brainer to have labor working in a united, cohesive way. It doesn't sound like it impacts any union from continuing to do thier own work, it just means they will work together on issues with a united, much larger voice.
