res ipsa loquitur.
Technically, in Latin, it means: "the thing itself speaks," or "the thing speaks for itself."
But, the way it's used today, especially in the legal world, it means: "its obvious." Meaning that from the way things look, you can infer something to be true.
I think I was trying to be clever one night after a glass of cognac and forgot it was there.
But, my thought at the time was that you can infer who works for who, present and past, by looking at what they are writing.
