Yeah,
The policy is definitely a pain in the butt, but I can see why they might need it. I dropped 6 weeks last year to go TDY and had to get CP approval because it included Valentines day. I don't think a lot of guys drop 6 weeks of MIL LV (non-pay by the way) just to get off on Valentines day but a few chumps apparently ruined it for everyone.

80 comes to mind as a culprit but he's a civilian guy. Buzz the romantic? Yes, but not sure if he's still in or would cheat the system.
