You may have more credibility on your "I hear that Skywest is buying Comair's assets" rumor if you knew that the "Compass Deal" refers to Delta selling off Mesaba and Compass last month.

Besides, Comair has a successorship clause that says the pilots go with the planes and a fleet guarantee that doesn't expire until 01/01/2011.

Of course if Delta announced five months in advance that they were giving Comair's aircraft to SkyWest, I wonder how the fall schedule would pan out? Comair is already recalling pilots to cover staffing issues.
