It would be nice to see Lee Moak in the job. He has been successful in merging DAL and NWA, and actually has leadership abilities.
Rice was "shut out" pretty much from Day 1 by Prater and his toadies. He was seen as a threat because of his knowledge and contacts and was shadowed by John Sluys and another guy who watched and reported every move.

Moak can do the job, question is why would he want it? The union has a 30 million plus judgment against it from the senior UAL pilots, the junior ones have one filed for at least as much and the TWA pilots case hits the docket in spring, with a fairly high potential for a 100 million plus judgement too. That's a lot of assessment money to go to the membership for. It would make a lot more sense to take DAL out as a stand alone. They have the mass and the infrastructure to do it.

The real question is whether or not the CAL pilots will support Prater.
