We can all learn from this thread or throw rocks at it. Southwest has a get it done attitude and I can see how that plays well to ATC folks. I think we would all do ourselves a favor by being more cooperative with ATC as they are just trying to make a big puzzle come together. As we make their job easier, ours will likely get easier as well. The slow taxi and forcing others to go around stories are unprofessional by any standard. To the extent safety will allow, I will re-commit to be more ATC friendly and hopefully in the future I might even be lucky enough to get my clearance ahead of Southwest.
