There should be two sentences there, not a comma.

It's not "whats", it is what's (what is). Even with the proper contraction, it is improperly used. It should be "What are".

It's not "there", it is "their" (possessive).

The final product would be:

Wait a minute.................. Did you say great lakes is hiring? What are their minimums?
I try very hard not to be a grammar Nazi, as we all make mistakes. But your reply had like all of my pet peeves rolled into one. The only one that was missing was "alot" (which should be... Wait for it... A LOT).

Why does this matter? Competition for jobs is fierce right now. You should get into the habit of having excellent grammar and spelling now, so that you aren't going to write something idiotic in a professional correspondence or application. I used to be part of a hiring team at one of my old jobs, and if I saw grammar/spelling errors, the resume was immediately thrown in the trash.

You may argue that it doesn't matter, this is just an internet forum. My advice to you is this - assume your future employer is reading everything you write. When I interviewed for my current job, they went through all of my old posts on another forum as sort of a background check. This happens more often than you might think.
