Hmm, I guess you never sat in on a tri-motor crew getting a check ride from a Scab Check Airman. I came on the property almost one year after the strike ended. Got the letter to be a 570 but turned it down and waited until you would actually get a job if you passed the training. Strange times in those days and all I can say is that those 570 guys that stood firm, had a big set of you know what. My hat is off to those brave guys (and gals). Threats, some. The worst part of it all is that we did not get "half wings" out of training so we were forced to walk around as "slick ties" until we made it to an LEC meeting. Talk about not being welcomed...
