Since there is a little Grammar Nazi in all of us, here's (contraction for "here is") my worthless half escudo (the name of the Portuguese currency before it switched to the Euro).

Great Lakes is considered singular in this case, so it's (contraction for "it is") more grammatically correct to use the possessive "its." [Note that the possessive form does NOT have an apostrophe since a possessive form is not a contraction].

English is so much fun!
