Atlas's founder found a niche suppyling freighter lift to passenger airlines. I've heard QUANTAS management was able to show their pilots it was cheaper to sub out their cargo flights, thus making QUANTAS stronger which was better for them in the long run. England changed their rules and brought the BA flying to "G" aircraft, and we don't want to open that thread. There's always going to be someone looking for lift and it's going to be more and more in the developing world. The down side is, if the economy slumps or the airline decides it doesn't want to be in the freight market anymore, "See Ya."
You get in an Atlas cookpit, not only do you see post-it notes with the flight number but also with which airline we are today.
