possibly a few individuals administered it poorly. If you call that fanning the flames then so be it. I suppose that if you did not like something that was happening on your flight deck you would just accept it and move on because you would not want to make any waves and fan the flames.

Personally I have no problems with the idea of this program, just they way it was done by some.
PM me the pilots name. I will contact him and we will get the flight info. The jumpseat pilot will be fired if what you say is true. There was no program such as this so clearly he was operating outside of Delta. All management riders at Delta are required to identify themselves and state exactly why they are riding on the jumpseat. Even a check Airman just catching a ride to work or for personal reasons on the jumpseat must identify himself to the crew as a check airman.
Pilots who were assisting on the transpac spin up used the TOE guide. They took notes on areas where there may be differences between NW and Delta and implimentation. Non jeopardy and notes never attached with a flight or crew. Every pilot doing that program (set up by the 767 program manager a NW pilot) had to identify himself to the crew and why he was there. He was required to show up for the briefing and not just as a jumpseat rider at the gate.
Your story was also posted almost word for word in the Dalpa forum yet no one was ever able to attach a date or crew to the rumor. I really personally find it hard to believe that pilots search other pilots stuff when they go to the bathroom. Been here a long time and have never seen that one!
