I'd say its not NWA culture but an NWA ramper union culture. The single engine taxi issue will fade away with time. When you tell someone for years to NOT single engine taxi its kinda hard to switch overnight.
Did a BOS-LGA-BOS shuttle turn today. Taxi in LGA was 1+ hour, didn't start the 2nd engine until we were #2 for departure. Heck we had to x-feed fuel just to balance from the SE taxi. It's getting better fellas.
