From what I was told, the incident that you cited above had a lot to do with CAL's PC Profile (B756) from this past year while doing all the E.O. Profile work in SFO....interesting.

I would bet the UAL 9 month vs the CAL Annual Sim thrashing will have a lot to do with which Operating Certificate they use post merger. Will be interesting to see what training changes come about fleets wide come post merger. Without a doubt, I'm sure they will push for the most 'economical' path....unfortunately.
