Average of other 4 is 161.50. We would need some big gains by CO/UA to bring up the average. Interesting question is whether after the merger, the CO/UA rate will be counted once in the average with three carriers, or twice in the average with four carriers. We get another 4% in Jan 2011 and Jan 2012 so that will require even bigger gains by CO/UA. Here's to hoping.
Alfa,

I would expect a JCBA between UA/CO to definitely pass our pay scales by. The question is by how much? If they don't then we will not be in a good position for our negotiations but I would think any contract they come up with that has lower than our pay scales would most probably be rejected by the membership.

As I mentioned to Pineapple, maybe AA will have a contract by then too. And US Air! Hey, 18 months is a long time........

My guess is the Company would be for whichever way would keep the pay lower and the Union for whichever way would increase pay more! Gee, that was a hard one!!
