I interviewed with Evergreen earlier this year and did not get the call. Many of their final questions dealt with how many years I was going to be at Evergreen before I left for greener pastures. Evidently I feign loyalty as well as I play poker: poorly. The management knows the conditions are sub-par for their industry segment. Their President of the Airline Division left and went to Omni (I think) the day after I interviewed. I was not sold on the company returning the level of committment to me that they required of me for them and it probably showed.
That being said, it is Ultra Long Haul on demand cargo. I have heard nothing but good things about the crews and the flying. If it is the only job that keeps you in aviation, I think it will be tolerable, and the flying fun. If it is the only thing a regional guy has cooking, then I think it is a good place to go. 747 time and type looks good on a resume anywhere you go.
Just like anywhere else, interview them as they interview you and keep your expectations low. That way you may be pleasantly suprised.
Good luck to those trying to get on.
