One problem is the "qualifying" part. DH only days do not count. It also should not be a lookback to make it an average. Credit should be applied as the month progresses.

If you fly 7 hours of credit on a 1 day and 3 hours on another a reserve will get 10 hours of credit, while the lineholder gets 12:15. As this piles up throughout the month you either end up working more days, or make less money. 5:15 minimum day (not dpa) is something that would benefit everyone on the next contract, but needs to be applied evenly between line and reserves.

Why are some of you so defensive of this reserve pay system? This is something that needs improving and would benefit everyone (think staffing) if fixed.
