Definition of IRRESPONSIBLE
: not responsible: as
a : not answerable to higher authority <an
irresponsible dictatorship>
b : said or done with no sense of responsibility <
irresponsible accusations>
c : lacking a sense of responsibility
this is per good ole Merriam Webster and I am not seeing anything about "intentional abdication of duty" ...

Maybe if you defined responsible or responsiblity you would have stumbled onto this page in your quest...
Accepting Personal Responsibility | LIVESTRONG.COM
I believe if you read through this article, you will learn that an individual does indeed make a personal and intentional choice to be irresponsible. You can accept it or not...if not, I suggest you read the article a little more closely...and good luck with accepting some personal responsibility in the future. You seem a bit obstinate on the subject, but I have high hopes for you.
