Not really. If they displace 200 captains and 240 FOs, then add the same number of vacancies in the ER category, it would be pretty much status quo. Unlike the situation in SLC, the 7ER in ATL is not a new category. So all the guys/gals getting displaced from the 767 would have priority for any openings in the 7ER category.
Now, if they close the 767 category without an equal number of positions in the 7ER category, there could be some pain, depending on the difference between pilots being displaced and vacancies in the ER.
But all indications are it will be like the current SLC bid. The number of vacancies in the 7ER will equal the number of surpluses in the 767.
