Yup. If you're junior you'll be working weekends on reserve. I recommend bidding to start on Friday or Saturday so you can commute on Thursday or Friday, or even Saturday morning. It may be necessary for you to go into base even on long call on a Saturday because it's often a reduced schedule so there are less flights. So if you are called at 1800 for a 0600 or 0800 report you may not make it to work because often by that time the last flight of the night is gone and the first flight the next morning won't get in soon enough. Bid where you can have the most flights available. MEM is tough because it's almost all RJs, & ATL is tough because it has a lot of commuters. Keep in mind FedEx/UPS don't operate weekend flights out of some cities so they aren't always available for those all night flights to get you in to base when you miss the last flight of the day.
