what does junior manned or extended mean?
I'll let those familiar with how things at Pinnacle work answer the first question.

As for the second question...

Extended: Involuntarily forced to continue working beyond your scheduled end day / time. ie: You're supposed to finish on friday night and you are forced to work overnight into saturday.

Juniormanned: Involuntarily forced to work on your day off, unconnected to other work. ie: You are off friday, saturday, and sunday. You're called on thursday and told you are involuntarily being forced to fly on saturday. This is called being "juniormanned" due to the fact that they are usually assigned to the most junior pilot who is capable of flying the trip that day. That means you, reserves.

Airlines have a varying degree of contractual protections against these (amount of times, ways they can get you, pay treatment, etc), but I wouldn't expect much protection at Pinnacle, and from what I hear, it happens quite often.
