There's an old tale at DAL about the guy who used a hand puppet named "Freddie the Fox" as a spokesman. For example: "Freddie the Fox says it's time to start your descent." Well, one day Freddie mysteriously disappeared from his den in the flight kit. Pictures of him being run over, hung, stabbed, etc. showed up on the crewroom bulletin board. His owner was so distraught that the CP ordered the foxnappers to return Freddie, with the proviso that Freddie never fly again.
