I built an 8" Dobsonion years ago with the man himself... bought my mirrors but helped grind the mirror for a friends 10". Went to Stellafane up in Vermont a few years in a row, awesome homebuilts there. One scope that stands out was a 32" Newtonian w/ clock driven equitorial mount. The entire base was made of Corian... I'm sure it was real easy to move around!
