MSP has a few crashpads by the Mall of America where you could use the train to get back and forth and wouldn't need a car. Prices are $180-200.
Later you can make your way to SLC or LAX.

Our chief line check pilot in MSPM88 is from TUS, and he's preferring this commute over his old one in SLC, fwiw... Though he's bidding #2 in the category

Again, let me remind you who thinks MSPM88 is all roses. Things are improving very slowly, (We added about 10 lines this month comparing to last), but the most junior lineholder is still about 60% top of the list in the category. I expect to see more lines coming by December. But either way, with the surplus of us on reserve, it's been bearable, even for a commuter, sitting no more than 3 short call a month, and I don't even need a crashpad!
