I don't know who your friend knows but you can go to DBMS and it has a function that tells you how many people senior to you have a bid in for a certain seat. I would currently be 79 out of 98 in the SLC domestic 767 category and there are only 65 people senior to me with bids in for the SLC 7ER category. So if the bid closed today my seniority would actually be better than the dometic seniority.

). Don't forget to factor in the chance that pretty much all the current domestic side in both seats probably will only bid an MD into the SLC 7ER category vice an AE and so are not listed on the page that shows people senior to you. You may not be as senior as you think!
