However, the first southie girls I flew with (SLC) only asked that I put mine in first so she could have access to hers. Then, of course, are the GE engines........oh wait, those are easier to start, never mind.

90% plus is a 757. It flys just like a -300, has that same "heavy feel" except it doesn't float on landing. IE, you have to keep the power on just like you do on a 9-50 vs a -30.

Newk would punch her back. And then she'd fall in love with him, because you know what we non girl punching guys noticed in life: "punch a girl in the face and she'll love you forever." WHY IS THAT?!!?

ALPA, IFALPA and an association of MEC's is very important. Look at what RJET is trying to do with the Star Alliance. You will never see another ALPA group welcome that. Getting rid of National will be like opening up Pandora's Box.

Global Market places needs a global association, and ALPA and IFALPA are it. We just need to fix its issues. Starting over will result in to many opportunities to take pot shots at this profession.
Hmmm. I've done that before, write out a long response. But then I post it, then change my mind, edit it, edit it again, again and again. Each time noting that nobody has commented. Then I click out of the thread to the Major section to see what else is going on and notice somebody has commented, evidently, a lot of people have commented on my pre-edited writing. I hate that glitch.

If this is a synposis of the 1000 word essay, I'll take it, but I still say more ACL is always a good thing.

But let me just say it this way because I don't disagree with what you wrote here in the importance of National and I don't want to throw the baby out with the bath water. I think National is extremely important and invaluable, I just don't care about this ALPA National at this time and do not see a reason to. Call it an enthusiasm gap not to unlike what Republicans had in 2006 and 2008 and Democrats (thus far in polls) have in 2010. However, DALPA, now thats relevant to me and my career and thus my career, just like Sink said.

If Moak goes to National hopefully he can get the enthusiasm gap up by just doing something foreign, like leading and pointing in a direction and not writing us letters that don't really say anything pertinent or important. When I read Praters letters I just get that feeling that ALPA National is not to unlike a dead fish handshake, there ain't nothing there but a luke warm body. I read once where he was talking to Obama about the dangers of international alliances and outsourcing highly sought after jobs to international carriers, and rightfully so mind you, but I sit there and ask, what about the regionals?

Why are we fighting for their "pilot groups" in such a way as to allow outsourcing that cuts out mainline jobs and then therein forces their individual pilots, the ones we should care about, into prolonged careers with low QOL and pay?

Again, I don't disagree ACL, I just have an enthusiasm gap for this National, but not DALPA. I liked DALPA when I first walked in, I was nervous as time went on in the midst of the 2008 crash, over time I've grown to like what I see. Thats just me.

Sometimes you can set the threads up in a line and hit them one by one real fast. Maximum impact. Just sit back then and enjoy what you just posted. Yeah, its addictive. Its even more addictive to put this picture up when someone says something that pokes an arrogant poster in the eye:

I love that cat, it might be the only one I've ever loved.
