In any case, we all know that these numbers are extremly low and nobody can survive on 11k even alone and try to survive on 22k with a family of four or 37 with a family of 8...............

people should be paid accordingly to what they invest in their profession.

If you pay 20k to achieve a position you should be paid more than the ones that do not pay anything and less than them that paid 30K or more.

A 121 airline pilot pays 50K to 100K to get to his position and he should be paid accordingly.

have some dignity and selfrespect, why do we have to explain to other pilots every detail about why they should be better paid?? or is it just that you climbed enough so you do not care about the ones below you??

$50 an hour for a 121 pilot that have invested $50 to $100k and five years of work at their airline is not asking much.
I concur, it's just funny SKW gave your negotiating team money to divide and it seems like they gave it to themselves (I'm assuming people making the representation decisions are captains). We all know all the captains are going to vote yes so you can bet it'll pass. I like that one poster said you guys should take it and ask for more later. How about a proposal that freezes Captain pay while all that money goes to a 20% raise for all FOs. Once FO pay is up to an acceptable level then and only then you ask for a more raises for both seats. The pay disparity right now in the regional industry is crazy, I don't see how you FOs over there are not rioting over how the money is being divided up in the current proposal. When my regional's contract is up, I vote no unless FOs top out at $60, even if I'm a Captain by then.

I like how people here blame the company for the low FO pay. The payscale was created by your union, not the company, company just says we have say 500m to spend on overall compensation you divide it how you want. Your reps created the CA$90/FO$35 pay scales. It could have been CA$70/FO$55, they company doesn't care.

Anyways, rant over and good luck over there.
