Please expand on what APA has contributed to the new rule. It would be basically nothing. They put almost no cash time or effort into the rule. They left ALPA to do the heavy lifting and pour money into trying to get things changed. When APA pours millions into effecting change then post about it on here.
Maybe the question you should ask is why CAPA (of which APA is a member) and others are opposed to segments of the NPRM. Why ALPA got a copy of the NPRM days before anyone else, including the other pilot unions. And why they are already working on a proposal to reduce the impact of the NPRM on the airlines by preparing a response to the forthcoming industry reply opposing the proposed rules change.
ALPA will come out with a "compromise" that gives up even more on FT/DT and Babbitt will embrace as coming from the "experts."
And Prater will wrap himself in it at the BOD and tell you how he "saved" the day.
