my numbers for profit sharing are based off of the Negotiators Notepad on the DALPA website.
Super quick version: DAL pilots make up about 1/3 of the "non-merit pool" employees (i.e. non-management).
Therefore we get about $86.67 Million to divide among the pilots.
If the "average" pilot makes about $140k (that is my number, its a total WAG). Multiply that by about 11000 active pilots.
Take your "total pilot payroll" number and divide that by the 86.67 mil and you get about 5.5-6.5% range with room for error in estimates.
That is how I arrived at my number. YMMV.
