Despite the brash title, this is NOT a flame bait thread. I swear. I was recently offered a job with Eagle when they picked up hiring again. In fact was hired by them twice. The first time I spent a year in the pool, praying everyday that they would call me and save me from my horrible existence of flight instruction. However, the DAY before I was offered a class date by Eagle, I was offered a corporate job getting twice as much money, turbine PIC and a much better quality of life. It felt pretty good to tell the recruiter that, after waiting over a month to hearing anything after my interview date.
Anyway, My question lies from an outsider stand point only, being that I've got zero 121 time. It is in no way being brought up to degrade or put down your wages or QOL. I am interested in your points of view to hopefully better this profession for all of us. So here goes. In a dream world it would be great to see every ALPA pilot tell their respective regional (or national

) airline to go !#%* themselves at start getting the pay and QOL you deserve.
What would be the down side of a full on ALPA strike? I highly doubt Obama is gonna pull a Reagan/PATCO situation. On the flip side, I know this economy isn't exactly the best time to be asking for more money, but when is.... Let the games begin.
