I just finished the process... was painless. You register first and then go to forms pick the FCC 605 form log on and it will ask you some simple questions regarding address and some VERY simple questions asking you if you can read and speak.
After that you have to file form 159 and you can pay with credit card, the cost was $60. Make sure you select when it ask you which type of license you want to select RR for Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit. Also when you register they will give you a number called (FRN) make sure you keep that number since you will need it to log in. Very simple...... THANKS to FlyerJosh for the initial info.
One question I have is how long do they take to send it to you? They didn't mention that.
