Exactly. Everytime some idiot on a recruitment video says exciting and rewarding, I want to punch them in the mouth. The only thing rewarding is when occasionally you're treated with dignity, everything else that matters about the job sucks.
I prefer to be rewarded with $$$$ in my bank account.
Unfortunately too many newcomers are willing to be rewarded by nontangeble touchy feeley that sounds excitingly fun type stuff.
