Up is good, down is okay, could be bad, it depends. Throttles (power levers, whatever) forward = fast, throttles back = slow.
I've flown with both. Works great, lasts a long time. More importantly, where are the hot chicks pix? And the AE speculation?

Some more flying tips for those who are still challenged with the yoke vs. side stick thing:
When taking off, try really hard to keep the aircraft on the concrete/asphalt thingy.
When landing, try really hard to keep the aircraft on the concrete/asphalt thingy.
Never refer to the "ramp" as the "tarmac."
And this is the most important, always, ALWAYS, sound super sexy cool on the radio. It's not how you fly, its how you sound. Others are listening and they don't know how you fly...they do, however, know how you sound.
