There are a lot of high time pilots furloughed, about to be furloughed, or laid off that may want to take ASA up on an interview. Your post just seem to want to discourage people from applying not encourage them. Here's an example of what I mean: on another forum of this website there is a post that begins with, "I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but...". Well, obviously, the poster actually did not mind being the bearer of bad news or he/she would have kept their keyboard idle.

No worries, I'm not trying to pass on bad news. I think it's great that ASA is hiring, more folks below me when it's all said and done, more job security for those of us that have been here for a few years now. Regardless of what method of integration they chose I will be sitting at about 50% of the combined list (maybe a little higher depending on a number of factors) so whether we hire or not is a bit irrelevant. However, it's important for folks to have all the facts when they're getting hired, particularly if they're coming on board in the middle of a merger. Either way, it's probably a good time to come on board before the flood gates open up in the next few years.
