Your post just seem to want to discourage people from applying not encourage them. Here's an example of what I mean: on another forum of this website there is a post that begins with, "I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but...". Well, obviously, the poster actually did not mind being the bearer of bad news or he/she would have kept their keyboard idle.

No worries, I'm not trying to pass on bad news. I think it's great that ASA is hiring, more folks below me when it's all said and done, more job security for those of us that have been here for a few years now. Regardless of what method of integration they chose I will be sitting at about 50% of the combined list (maybe a little higher depending on a number of factors) so whether we hire or not is a bit irrelevant. However, it's important for folks to have all the facts when they're getting hired, particularly if they're coming on board in the middle of a merger. Either way, it's probably a good time to come on board before the flood gates open up in the next few years.
