Again, my point was the child was not on the plane!!! Again, pedestrian is the wrong word!!!! I know he was in the car...the lawyer said they were singing Christmas carols.
It was a tragic accident!
Spanky,
You are the 2nd SWA pilot I have heard placing blame on the family. Where you there watching? Who told you the dad was arguing w/ the pilots while his child was suffocating? Maybe he was telling the pilots they needed to throw the thrust reversers on...was he supposed to lift the airplane off his son?
Like many posts, this is getting off subject...it started w/ a SWA comparison of MDW circle procedure to Alaska AL flying in AK...AGAIN, no comparison. Again, SWA flying takes practice cramming 30 minutes of ground ops into ten. My SWA golf buddies tell me they TLAR the TOLD data as well as other shortcuts in order to make mgmt (and themselves) money. Unfortunately, as we all know accidents happen and it is a matter of time before another SWA shortcut is exposed...I hope it does not include fatalities. You can't argue SWA's record. But you certainly can ask, has SWA learned that shortcuts can kill??? Why in the word would AA and CAL have autobrakes mandatory on all landings, yet the biggest 737 airline not use them...in the process of implementing is not good enough. I hope the family and lawyer sock it to SWA hard!! SWA cares about costs...so if the jury hits them with say $700 million, maybe they will listen and stop cutting corners.
As far as overseas flying Spanky, I do a lot now at FedEX...and only easy stuff in the F-15 in Saudi and Turkey.
CB,
I went back and read a few of your previous posts and I can honestly say that I would prefer that you not be on the jury deciding on the MDW case. Even reading this one again, that word I used earlier keeps entering my mind. I believe I called it venom or something similar. You fly F-15's? Then you should be intelligent enough to recognize what bias is.
How did this get so far off subject?
