With respect to the slot swap, heard an interesting rumor that I've never heard before while on a USAir (westies) jumpseat.

As usual, the merger came up (imagine that). I asked them if they thought that Dougie would ever split USAir back up. The Capt (ok, wishful thinking on his part maybe) had heard that there were discussions to give up some east planes and pilots to UAL in an effort to make the swap more attractive to the DOT.

I'm not sure how that makes the swap more attractive.............just tossing out the rumor. Talk among your selves
