If a new hire pilot was previously employed at Delta in a non flying position such as CSA, FA, mech, etc, does that time count towards anything such as pay, vacation, etc? Of course I'm asking for myself. Worked as a CSA for several years during college before getting into the Navy. Asked lots of pilots I met lots of questions and thought "Hmmmm....not a bad way to make a living". Most pilots said "son.....join the military and come back here when you're done". Well I took that advice and did it, and now am hoping to come full circle and end up back at Delta next year when I retire (Can't believe it's almost been 20 years). I understand the industry has changed significantly since then, but it still seems like a great way to make a living. I've applied on Airapps and have some internal recs, now keeping my fingers crossed that there may actually be some hiring going on again next Summer. Thanks for the Info!!!
