As a part 135 pilot I can tell you those internal metal frame bags hurt. Also, Luggage Works has a horrible warranty. They make great bags but don not stand behind their work. I wish 'Eagle Creek' or 'Briggs & Riley' made bags with as many external pockets as the aforementioned. Both of these companies have a lifetime no hassle warranty (even covers airline damage).
My experience is that Luggage Works does indeed stand behind their products and warranties. I sent mine in right after the warranty period had expired and they still overhauled it at zero cost to me.
