Based on this assumption, if Date of hire is used then AWA pilots will get hosed, but if they blend using percentage (if you're a 50% pilot then you'll remain at 50% in the new company) then AWA pilots will get the oppurtunity to fly a lot of different routes will a relatively similiar QOL. Personally flying to Rome is a lot more appealing and generally a more productive trip than PHX - TUS - DEN - PHX - SAN. Thats just my preference though.

I hope niether group gets abused. Mergering employee groups can be ugly business
