I have been keeping up with 10 guys from the 85. Only one has gotten a good flying job (nascar driver) and that only happened last month. Another one is flying part time freight ($10,000 a year) and another is a used car salesman (not making any money). The other 7 and myself are still sending resumes, clicking apps and hoping for a call.
Some smarta$$ asked earlier who was stopping me from getting a job. I guess the answer is, "I don't know---It is not from lack of effort". Maybe the economy--maybe the fact the market is flooded with furloughed pilots--who knows who is stopping me.
Those with jobs---congratulations and keep up the good work. Those like me who have no job---keep your head up and keep looking--something will happen sooner or later. Those who post positive or relative comments---I appreciate hearing from you. Those who post smarta$$ or negative comments are probably the ones no one likes flying with---we all know the kind.
