I am hearing that the USAirways / Delta deal will be to a great extent decided by the creditors. I know Boeing is a large part of the outstanding debt. Why would Boeing agree to this deal when they have so much to lose with USAirways being a BIG airbus customer? I would think Boeing would want to keep Delta single or at least want to see Delta pair up with another Boeing airline. Of course the government will have the last say.
